Unsafe park and facility usage!
The District has received reports of unsafe and destructive activity on Buckhorn Valley Metro District No. 2's park grounds, which Buckhorn Valley Metro District No. 1 maintains with irrigation and mowing services. These facilities are parks with basketball courts and are adjacent to roadways and drainage systems that the Town of Gypsum maintains.
We believe the roads are the only compatible location for motorized vehicles to occupy - ATV's, dirt bikes, and other motorized vehicles should not be on park fields or open spaces, for safety and maintenance purposes.
The District relies on direct reporting to the Police for any incidents. If you observe an ATV or motorized bike on park fields or open spaces, or other unsafe situations, please report them immediately to Gypsum Police.
