Buckhorn Valley Metropolitan District No. 1

Due to the severe drought, water levels at the reservoir have dropped to conditions that put system components at risk of damage. Due to this unprecedented situation, irrigation watering will end next week, two weeks ealier than the typical shutdown - Tuesday September 29th will be the last watering day. 

Thanks to all residents for adhering to the water usage guidelines during this extremely dry and challenging season. Your efforts helped conserve the community's precious irrigation wwater resource as long as possible, allowing the season to last this late in the season.

The district operators will be blowing out the entire community's systems throughout October. We request homeowners to make sure their backyard irrigation boxes are exposed and easily accessible during this time. 

Any updates will be communicated once determined, and posted on the District’s website. 

We would like to thank the District Operators for their hard work during this especially difficult season. They will continute to improve and repair infrastructure to recover system water levels as much as possible over the fall and winter in preparation for the 2027 season.
