2025 Irrigation Update

August 15th Update

As of today, the water level in the Eagle River has dropped below the flow rate where no water may be removed by any entity from the river for irrigation use, including Buckhorn Valley Metro District.

What does this mean for the Buckhorn community?

  • Currently there is a full water supply in the reservoir to last through the end of the irrigation season with reasonable levels of use.
  • However, Buckhorn Valley is no longer allowed to refill it's system unless water levels rise in the Eagle River.
  • The District is making necessary adjustments to the system to conserve water use, including turning water off during rain, and adjusting use when temperatures are lower.
  • We ask that everyone contribute to conserving water by adjusting your systems relative to temperature and weather - use as little as possible or turn off your system when it's cooler or raining.
  • Report leaks to reduce water loss and keep track of your use to ensure that the entire community has water till the end of the irrigation season.

Email us at info@ccrider.us to report any leaks.
Thank you for your cooperation.
